ജനത കർഫ്യു ആചരിക്കുന്ന ഇന്ന് (22.03.2020) രാത്രി ഒമ്പത് മണിക്ക് ശേഷവും ജനങ്ങൾ കൂട്ടമായി പുറത്തിറങ്ങാതെ വീട്ടിൽ തുടർന്ന് സഹകരിക്കണമെന്ന് ചീഫ് സെക്രട്ടറി ടോം ജോസ് അഭ്യർത്ഥിച്ചു. പുറത്തിറങ്ങുകയും കൂട്ടം കൂടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവർക്കെതിരെ നടപടി സ്വീകരിക്കാൻ പോലിസിന് നിർദ്ദേശം നല്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. നിർദേശങ്ങൾ അനുസരിക്കാത്തവർക്കെതിരെ ഇന്ത്യൻ ശിക്ഷാനിയമത്തിലെ സെക്ഷൻ 188 പ്രകാരമുള്ള കുറ്റമായി കണക്കാക്കും.
