RRB declared ALP and Technician Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBT3) scheduled on 10-05-2019 in three shifts. The duration of Computer based Aptitude Test is 71 Minutes.
Official Notification of Aptitude Test

The 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT) conducted on 21-01-19, 22-01-19, 23-01-19 and 08-02-19 by Railway Recruitment Boards for the posts of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) and Technicians against CEN 01/2018 has been evaluated again duly considering the representations received from candidates after the publication of the result on 05-04-19. As RRBs have addressed the representations on questions, answer key etc received from the
candidates post publication of result on 05-04-19, RRB regrets inability to entertain any further correspondence from the candidates on the same.
Revised List of Candidates shortlisted for Computer Based Aptitude Test

The Computer Based Aptitude Test will have a Test Battery comprising of five tests and candidates will have to secure a minimum T-Score of 42 in each test of the test battery to qualify for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot. This is applicable to all candidates and no relaxation is permissible on any ground. There will be no negative marking in Computer Based Aptitude Test. The guidelines and sample Mock link for Computer Based Aptitude Test will be available on the official websites of RRBs and RDSO from 02-05-19 to 10-05-19.

The shortlisted candidates for Computer Based Aptitude Test should produce the Vision Certificate in the prescribed format for A1 Standard as per Annexure – VI of detailed CEN 01/2018, in original during Computer Based Aptitude Test, failing which they will not be permitted to appear in the Aptitude Test. The format of the Vision certificate is attached in this notice.

After the completion of the evaluation of Aptitude Test, the List of candidates shortlisted for Document Verification (DV) for ALP and various posts of Technicians will be Published and DV will start during May/June 2019.

CEN 01/2018 (ALP & Technicians Posts) Postponement of Aptitude Test scheduled on 16-04-19

Railway Recruitment Board decided to postponement of Aptitude Test scheduled on 16th April 2019.

After publishing the CBT2 result, RRBs have received certain representations from the candidates pertaining to answer keys, evaluation of actual score, Normalisation, etc. RRBs are scrutinising these representations have noted that prima facie there appears to be an error in answer key of few questions and actual score of few candidates. Accordingly, RRBs have decided to once again check the correctness of final keys and evaluation to ensure fairness to all candidates and the recruitment process.

On completion of this review, RRBs will publish final keys of these few questions along with the revised scores of the candidate. The revised list of shortlisted candidates will also be published on the websites of RRBs for the information of all the candidates.

Computer Based Aptitude Test Scheduled on 16-04-2019 is postponed and the revised date of the Aptitude Test Will be announced shortly.

Manorama Online the digital platform of Malayala Manorama Group is looking for competent professionals to Join the Technical team of Manorama Online as Java Developers and UI Professionals.

Java Developers (Location : Kochi and Kottayam)

  • Minimum 2 years coding experience in JAVA, J2EE development in consumer facing web application.
  • Experience in web content management system (WCMS) and public cloud such as amazon AWS will be an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge on Web Services and MySQL database
  • Selected candidates will become part of the Java Development / Support team of Manorama Online

UI Developers (Location : Kochi and Kottayam)

  • Minimum 3 years coding experience in UI development experience in consumer facing web applications
  • Strong knowledge in JQuery, JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5, AJAX, JSON, with experience in modern JavaScript framework such as Angular, React or Node.js
  • Selected candidates will become part of the UI Development team of Manorama Online

Qualification : B.Tech (IT, Computer Science) / MCA / MSc (Computer Science). Person should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and must be a good team player.

Interview Location : Malayala Manorama, Panampilly Nagar, Kochi

Power of Present Moment – Yoga Vasishta

Yoga Vasishta is a philosophical work describing Advaitha (nondualism) very beautifully through slokas and stories. Sage Vasishta explains the methods of realizing Self and liberation to Lord Rama. Lord Rama felt the life meaningless in his teenage even though he lived in the middle of luxuries. Sage Vasishta helps Rama to realize the self and thereby relieves his sorrow. This is a very short introduction of Yoga Vasishta to all those who are hearing it for the first time

One of the beautiful sloka in Yoga Vasishta which caught my attention is the following which explains the power of present momement awareness.

“Varthamanamanayasam Bhajathbhayadhiyakshanam
Bhoothambhavishyadabhajadyadi Chithamachithatham”

Meaning: Gently, effortlessly keep the focus only on the present moment and not allow it to go to past or future. Thus the mind becomes non-mind.

Only the present moment is what we have. Past has already passed and Future is yet to come. Worries, tension, depression, anxiety, and all those feelings affect the mind only when mind travels to either past or to future. Present moment is bliss only. Present moment is blissful because mind, intellect, nor ego can touch the present moment. Mind disappears in present moment. Time and space disappears in present moment. Mind is alive only when there is thoughts and thoughts are alive only by thinking about past or future. When there is no thoughts, mind disappears. When mind disappears, what remains is “I” only. That “I” is bliss. With words, I can explain this much only. It’s a beautiful blissful experience. May we all experience this at this very moment dear all. Try gently, effortlessly and experience the bliss here and now
